The City of Aztec has been awarded Small Business Continuity funding from the State of NM. The State of NM has made this grant available to qualifying small businesses who are headquartered in NM with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees and have an annual revenue of $2 million or less prior to the impact of COVID-19.
The next application cycle will open on Monday October 5, 2020 8:00 AM and will continue until October 16, 2020 5:00 PM.
Proceeds from the grant must be spent on eligible Business continuity and/or Business redesign expenses. Business continuity grant funding may be spent on non-owner employee payroll, rent, scheduled mortgage payments, insurance, utilities, marketing and other fixed expenses related to the operation of the business. Business redesign grant funding may be spent on things like reconfiguring physical spaces to meet COVID guidelines, installing plexiglass barriers, purchasing web-conferencing or other technology to facilitate work-at-home, or PPE for employees.
Grantees will be required to submit receipts for expenditures to receive reimbursement under these grants. Expenses that have been or will be reimbursed under any other federal program are not eligible for reimbursement through the proceeds of this grant.
If funding is awarded, the business will take all practical steps to remain viable, solvent and in operation. The Business also attests that it has not taken any material steps to dissolve the business in 2020.
