The City of Aztec does not own or operate the regional transit bus systems that provide transportation services in San Juan County, New Mexico or La Plata County, Colorado. Red Apple Transit
Red Apple Transit, opertated by First Transit, Inc., is the public bus system for the City of Farmington. Over the years the system has grown to extend services out to Aztec, Bloomfield, Kirtland, and areas inbetween.

Road Runner Transit
Road Runner Transit, owned and operated by the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, provides public bus services to the east side of La Plata County, Colorado. In 2009, their route extend south to Aztec, New Mexico.
